This lovely garden sculpture came about by customer demand, more than one person at a show has suggested that Light Shard would look even better if it were larger. So here it is!
Personally I love this piece in so many ways. From the very perpendicular front edge curving up at the top then another angled edge (hypotenuse almost?) coming back down to the base. This is then highlighted through another dimension being the triangular shape from front to back.
Made in stainless steel, and standing 127cm at the highest point (At the front 102cm high 15cm wide). An 30cm spike is pressed into the ground to support it.
My inspiration with this one?....quite simply Andrew asked me to make one! He felt that Light Shard would have more impact if it was bigger. When discussing it instead of calling it Light Shard II it somehow became Son of Light Shard, morphing into Sun of Shard. That's it! Sorry! But I hope you like it!
