Small but perfectly formed, as they say. This piece of sculpture is packed with interest. With an almost triangular form like a sail. You first see the gentle upward curve at the top ending in a very delicate point, it tapers from one edge to the other and from top to bottom. Simple, but really eye catching.
Made from grade 304 stainless steel with a brushed finish. It has a 250mm spike so it can easily be located in a lawn or flower bed.
David prefers not to set an edition size, but remember these are all handmade, so the number he can produce is very limited. They also tend to vary slightly one from another so could almost be described as unique.
I have always been fascinated by light and the extraordinary transformations it can make to both views and objects. Look at something in the early morning light then look again in the evening sun and you will see something different. A childhood memory is the shafts of sunlight striking as a beam into the room. I have tried to capture that here.
